About <\/b>Light Resonances AR<\/i><\/b><\/h3>\n

Light Resonances AR<\/span><\/i> is an Augmented Reality experience within <\/span>Symbiotic Cities<\/b>, an extended-reality project that imagines a speculative, symbiotic smart ecosystem where natural and digital intelligences coexist.<\/span><\/p>\n

Created by <\/span>Rasa Smite & Raitis Smits<\/b>, with sound artist <\/span>Krista Dintere<\/b>, the work visualizes and sonifies subtle exchanges between plants and light. Six multispectrally scanned 3D plants gradually shift from natural RGB coloration into spectral forms aligned with non-human perceptual worlds. Their soundscapes evolve accordingly\u2014from field recordings to sonified translations of spectral data\u2014revealing patterns of light absorption, pigment-driven coloration, photosynthetic activity, and plant vitality.<\/span><\/p>\n

These resonances of light make visible and audible the delicate processes through which plants transform light into life, offering an experiential entry point into imagining symbiotic futures across naturally\u2013artificial urban environments.<\/span><\/p>\n

The showcase is curated by <\/span>Daria Mille (NAIA, Karlsruhe)<\/b> as part of <\/span>Smart Picnic: Sensing the City<\/b>, curated by <\/span>Seungah Lee (Urban Art Lab, Seoul)<\/b> at the Miro Center, Gwangju.<\/span><\/p>\n

In parallel with the <\/span>Light Resonances AR<\/span><\/i> presentation in Gwangju and the Metaverse, the <\/span>NAIA in Karlsruhe<\/b> is organizing\u00a0 a local showcase of artworks from the <\/span>SensUs:\u00a0 Symbiotic Cities<\/b> project taking place as a part of\u00a0 <\/span>SensUs Studio Opening Program<\/b> on Thursday, December 5, at 19.00 at Lessingstr. 25, 76135 Karlsruhe (just 8 minutes walk from ZKM).<\/span><\/p>\n

About the SensUs XR Showcase<\/b><\/p>\n

The event marks the opening of the SensUs Studio and presents a selection of works on the <\/span>SensUs Art XR platform<\/b>, an immersive ecological art environment co-curated by <\/span>NAIA (Karlsruhe)<\/b> and <\/span>RIXC (Riga)<\/b>. The platform is developed in close collaboration with partners in<\/span> Canada, Taiwan, and the Baltic\u2013Nordic region.<\/b><\/p>\n

The SensUs Art XR platform features multimedia 3D and spatial sound works by artists including <\/span>Yuchin Chen, Jung Eun Lee, Anna Manankina, Isabella M\u00fcnnich, Jur\u0123is Peters, Oleksandr Sirous; Krista Dintere; Sab\u012bne \u0160n\u0113, Ivo Tauri\u0146\u0161; Tuan Mu, Rodolphe Macab\u00e9o, Rihards Vitols, Zane Zelmene<\/b> reflecting an expanding network dedicated to ecological and symbiotic futures through immersive art.<\/span><\/p>\n
